Goals of the Degree Program
The degree program in Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology equips students to observe the dynamics of change in contemporary societies, critically analyze them using academic concepts, and address them with empirical research methods. Proficiency in knowledge management—its production, selection, and transfer—the ability to design and evaluate media developments, and the competence for intercultural understanding and transnational cooperation are now key qualifications in many professional fields. Degrees in Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology do not lead to a single established profession but instead prepare graduates for a wide range of professional fields.
