Goethe University will once again celebrate its traditional summer festival on June 18 with an attractive lineup of cultural, sports, and entertainment events. : On the Westend Campus, visitors to the summer festival can look forward to an exciting stage program featuring rock and pop music, as well as dance performances.

The Frankfurt Conservation Center (FCC) was officially inaugurated today during a festive ceremony at Villa 102 hosted by KfW Foundation, the charitable foundation of Germany’s public development bank. Guests included Frankfurt’s Deputy Mayor for Culture and Science, Ina Hartwig, Environmental Deputy Mayor Tina Zapf-Rodriguez, Patricia Zurita, Executive Director of Conservation International, and keynote speaker Sylvie Goulard.

Poetry lecture series kicks off to a full auditorium: On Tuesday evening, author Joshua Groß delivered the first of his lectures on the topic “Walking Beside Oneself: Thinking in Avatars.” The series continues on June 16 and 23 (both at 6 p.m.), with the closing reading taking place on June 24 at the Literaturhaus Frankfurt. Additionally, the accompanying exhibition “The Horizons of the Shapeshifters” opens today at the University Archives (Dantestr. 9, Mon–Fri, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.).
