The goal of the Physics program is to equip students with the subject-specific and educational qualifications needed to teach physics at middle schools, high schools, and special education schools. Additionally, future teachers should be prepared to contribute to the development of new curricula. Graduates of the L2/L5 program, in particular, are expected to be capable of teaching students the fundamental principles of physics, the physical description of nature, and its most significant findings.

  • In the classroom, students should come to understand that physics provides the foundation for understanding many natural phenomena and plays a crucial role in all natural sciences, medicine, and technology.
  • Students should also be able to recognize and evaluate the importance of physics research and the societal impacts of its applications.
  • Graduates should aim to teach physics in a way that sparks curiosity about scientific questions and inspires joy in discovering new knowledge.
