Training Programme

GRADE offers a comprehensive Training Programme which supports its members during the PhD and postdoc phase keeping in mind both academic and personal individual development. GRADE has no set curriculum. You have the opportunity to select the workshops that best meet your needs.

What should be a part of a good supervision relationship?

Additional qualification measures by GRADE are designed to establish a reliable and sustainable framework for cooperation between doctoral candidates and their supervisors. GRADE offers a range of supporting tools.


How to become a member?

GRADE members have full access to all services. The comprehensive service offers include free choice of workshops from the Training Programme, participation in the Career Talks or Social and Networking Events as well as individual coaching. You can apply by online registration.

Ecuador provides scholarships for International Scientists

The government of Ecuador uses the Prometeo Project to motivate international scientists to conduct their research for 2 to 12 month in Ecuador. Of major interest are projects in the field of biodiversity studies but also projects in humanities and social sciences are welcome.

Our high-ranking experts, e.g. Prof. Dr. Margret Wintermantel (President of the German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD) or Prof. Stefan Hornbostel (Director of the Institute for Research Information and Quality Assurance, iFQ), conducted a stimulating discussion about current characteristics, challenges and perspectives of doctoral studies in Germany.
