Goethe University's Master of Science in International Management is catering to ambitious bachelor’s graduates striving for an international career. We have designed a program that will ensure a unique learning experience and ideal job market opportunities. Our faculty is committed to establishing the Master in International Management as a premier management program in Europe that shall attain top positions in international rankings.

Take the opportunity to study a demanding degree program taught by committed and research-driven professors and high-profile practitioners. Our lecturers apply state-of-the-art teaching methods and encourage you to examine challenging real-world problems. Students can freely choose modules from the five areas:

Conditions of admission

Admission requirements
  • Bachelor´s degree in economics, business administration or related fields
  • TOEFL (minimum score 100) or IELTS (minimum score 7).
    This can be waived in case you have completed your bachelor’s degree at a university in a majority English speaking country (e.g. USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand).
    Language certificates must not be older than five years at the end of the application deadline.
Provisional admission If you have not yet completed your bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), you can apply for the program if you have received at least 80% of the CP required for graduation (e.g. 144 CP in a normal 180 CP bachelor’s program). 
This provisional certificate must be issued by an office authorized to award grades or issue certificates. In this case, the admission is provisional and the final bachelor’s certificate has to be submitted until the end of the first semester.
Mode of admission Admission to the program is restricted.

Obligatory Documents

  • Copy of your university entrance qualification (e.g. A-level)
  • Certified copy of the Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration or related fields
  • If the Bachelor's degree has not yet been completed:
    - a transcript of records or an equivalent document listing the performances to date with individual marks and an interim grade
    - proof of current enrollment in the bachelor program
  • Proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL or IELTS, can only be waived if applicants studied in a majority English speaking country, e.g. UK, USA, Canada, Australia)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • APS certificate for applicants from Vietnam, China and Mongolia (original)

Optional documents

  • GMAT or GRE
  • Proof of semester(s) abroad
  • Proof of internship abroad
  • Proof of additional foreign language (not mother tongue or English)
