To successfully support students on their path to graduation, the Department of Physics operates its own Physics Learning Center, which has received numerous awards. Here, peer tutors help students understand lecture materials, solve practice problems, and master complex concepts.
As a special feature, the Department of Physics offers its own scholarship program for high-achieving students. Thanks to the generous support of Dr. Winfried Wilcke, an alumnus of the department, scholarships are available to students in physics and biophysics, as well as to students pursuing teacher certification.
