Experiential Learning Opportunity through Research & Exchange

EXPLORE  is a research-focused online seminar connecting students from Germany, Canada, and the US in small international teams to work on cutting-edge topics in cosmology, astrophysics, particle and gravitational physics.

After completing the online seminar—featuring introductory lectures, Python tutorials, and weekly mentorship meetings—students can pursue a 2–3 month research stay at Goethe University through the Goethe Research Experience Program (GREP). During the stay, participants deepen their seminar project, gain hands-on research experience, and collaborate closely with Frankfurt researchers.

Successful participants are also invited to the EXPLORE Summer School, which combines scientific talks and social activities at one of the partner universities.

Fields of Research: Dark matter, dark stars, neutron stars, cosmology, gravitational waves, cosmic structure formation, quantum gravity.
