Dr des. Shene Hassan has a BA in “English Language and Literature" from Suleimani University, Iraq, and an MA in “Cross Cultural Communication and Applied Linguistics" from the University of Newcastle, UK. She was a DAAD fellow at the Institute of English and American Studies from October 2016 to December 2021, where she received a doctoral degree with her thesis on “Syntactic and semantic aspects of supplementary relative clauses in English and Sōrānī 
Kurdish."
