German for Master Students

Are you a Master Student at the Goethe University and want to learn German?

We are proud to be able to offer German courses from A1 to B1 for Masters Students, who are studying in English.

Our courses will teach you German for your daily needs in Frankfurt and on the campus but will also focus on topics that go beyond everyday life. We want to encourage you to immerse yourself in the German language and try to use and understand as much as possible.

You can get 4 ECTS for this course. 

Registration starts from 1 October 2025 and goes until 7 October 2025.

To find the right group, you need to take a placement test beforehand. You will find the instructions for the placement test here. Please note that this test will not go into your grade.

We have received a very high number of requests for this course in the past semesters. For this reason, we have a waitlist for the course. The link for the waitlist is going to be realeased soon.

Please note:

  • Since we have noticed that many students simply sit in in the courses, we will be monitoring the courses more closely. This means that, we will regularly drop in the courses unannounced to check whether only the registered participants are actually attending. If this is not the case, the “participants" (without proper registration and confirmation) will face consequences.
  • Filling out the registration form multiple times won't get you into the course any faster. Since it's important to us, that every participant is placed in the right course, each registration is evaluated individually. Filling out the form repeatedly will only prolong the process.
  • We are not going to provide any further information about the waiting list. If there are any seats available, we will contact you directly. 

Courses planned: Twice a week at the evening from 18.00 to 20.15 (depends on your test scores) during the semester

You will get a message on your email a week before the course starts.
