Studierenden im Hauptfach des Studiengangs "Kulturanthropologie und Europäische Ethnologie" wird empfohlen, ein Semester an einer Universität im Ausland zu studieren. Dazu eignen sich das 3. oder das 5. Semester des Bachelorstudiengangs.
Students of the Master's program "Science and Technology Studies" are recommended to study one semester at a university abroad. The 3rd semester of the Master's program is suitable for this.
Erasmus
Das Auslandssemester kann über das Erasmusprogramm organisiert werden. Das Institut hat eine Reihe von Erasmus-Abkommen mit verschiedenen (außer)europäischen Universitäten. Das Erasmusprogramm übernimmt eventuell anfallende Studiengebühren an Gastuniversitäten und zahlt ein monatliches Taschengeld, das jedes Jahr neu errechnet wird. The semester abroad can be organized through the Erasmus program. The institute has a number of Erasmus agreements with various (non)European universities. The Erasmus program covers any tuition fees that may be incurred at host universities and pays a monthly pocket money, which is recalculated every year. Darüber hinaus bietet das Erasmus-Netzwerk des International Office der Goethe Universität und der verschiedenen Fachbereiche und Institute weitere Möglichkeiten des Studienaustauschs mit weiteren europäischen Partneruniversitäten an.
In addition, the Erasmus network of the International Office of Goethe University and the various departments and institutes offers further opportunities for study exchange with other European partner universities.
Kreditpunkte anrechnen lassen / Transfer of Credit Points
Die an den Partnerinstituten erworbenen Kreditpunkte können am Institut für Kulturanthropologie und Europäische Ethnologie anerkannt werden. Grundlage ist das European Credit Transfer System, mit dem Studien- und Prüfungsleistungen an eine andere Hochschule mitgenommen und dort anerkannt werden. Es wird von allen am Bologna-Prozess beteiligten Ländern akzeptiert und in ihnen angewendet.
Es gibt allerdings keine festen, länderübergreifenden Regelungen dafür, wie viele Kreditpunkte wofür zu vergeben sind. Die Anerkennung der Leistungen muss daher im Einzelfall mit den jeweiligen Programmbeauftragten abgeklärt werden.
Die Anrechnung der im Ausland erbrachten Studienleistungen wird am Institut übernommen. Nach erfolgreicher Anerkennung können Sie das Orginal der Studiengangsanrechnung im Institut abholen. Sie müssen es dann an Frau Marianne Köhler im Prüfungsamt für Geistes-, Kultur- und Sportwissenschaften einreichen.
The credit points acquired at the partner institutes can be recognized at the Institute for Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology. The basis for this is the European Credit Transfer System, with which study and examination achievements can be taken to another university and recognized there. It is accepted and applied in all countries participating in the Bologna Process.
There are, however, no fixed, transnational regulations on how many credit points are to be awarded for what. The recognition of credits must therefore be clarified with the respective program officers in each individual case.
The Institute is responsible for the recognition of credits earned abroad. After successful recognition, you can pick up the original copy of the program credit at the institute. You must then submit it to Mrs Marianne Köhler at the Examination Office for Humanities, Cultural and Sports Sciences.

Angebote anderer Fachbereiche / Offers by other Departments
Neben den hier vom Institut im Rahmen der Kooperationen angebotenen Universitäten gibt es weitere Möglichkeiten, im Ausland zu studieren.
- Zum einen können, sofern Plätze frei sind, auch die Erasmus-Kooperationen anderer Fachbereiche genutzt werden (siehe Übersicht aller Kooperationen der Goethe-Universität).
- Weiter bietet das International Office auch Informationen zu weiteren Austauschprogrammen, auch über Europa hinaus.
In beiden Fällen ist das International Office bzw. der jeweilige Fachbereich Ansprechpartner.
In addition to the universities offered here by the Institute within the framework of cooperation agreements, there are other possibilities to study abroad.
- On the one hand, Erasmus cooperations of other faculties can be used as long as places are available (see overview of all cooperations of the Goethe-University).
- Furthermore, the International Office also offers information on other exchange programs, also beyond Europe.
