Description: The quadrilingual master's degree course Moving Cultures – Transcultural Encounters / Cultures en Mouvement / Culturas en Movimiento – Encuentros Transculturales / Culture in Movimento – Incontri Transculturali (MCTE) is a cultural studies based course with an interdisciplinary approach and a focus on modern philology. In analysing of the literary, linguistic and social interrelation of cultures students can mainly choose from two major fields of study:
English Studies
Romance Studies
Languages, literature, media and cultures as well as their transcultural dimensions are analysed with regard to the themes of migration and contact. The transcultural change in history is explored in geographical and historical contexts and examined through words, images, sounds as well as other sorts of media. (Further information here)
