L3 - Teaching at High Schools (Gymnasien)

The Teacher Training program for High Schools (L3) prepares you to teach grades 5–12 at high schools and general education schools, finishing with the First State Examination.

The degree program includes coursework in educational sciences and at least two teaching subjects of your choice from biology, chemistry, German, English, geography, Protestant religion, French, history, Greek, computer science, Islamic religion, Italian, Catholic religion, art, Latin, mathematics, music, philosophy, physics, political science and economics, Spanish, or physical education. The standard period of study, including the First State Examination, is four and a half years.
