Prof. Dr. Andreas Bernig

I am professor for differential geometry. My main research interest is in integral geometry, more precisely the theory of valuations on vector spaces and manifolds, their algebraic structures and applications for kinematic formulas. Two sample publications in this area are

  • Integral Geometry (Valuations, Kinematic formulas)
  • Finsler Geometry (Holmes-Thompson and Busemann volumes, Hilbert geometries)
  • Riemannian geometry (in particular, questions related to curvature)
  • Geometric inequalities (isoperimetric inequality, Brunn-Minkowski, Blaschke-Santaló, Alexandrov-Fenchel, Mahler conjecture etc.)
  • Geometric Measure Theory (Legendrian cycles, Metric Measure Theory)
