- Generation, transport and crystallisation of silicate melts.
- Major and trace element transfer during dehydration/melting of subducted oceanic crust.
- The chemical contribution of subducted lithosphere to mantle heterogeneities.
- Solubility and speciation of sulphur in silicate liquids and the implications for volcanic systems.
- Oxidation processes and their effect on the chemistry and mineralogy of magmas.
- Volatiles in magmas, volcanic degassing.
