  • Generation, transport and crystallisation of silicate melts.
  • Major and trace element transfer during dehydration/melting of subducted oceanic crust.
  • The chemical contribution of subducted lithosphere to mantle heterogeneities.
  • Solubility and speciation of sulphur in silicate liquids and the implications for volcanic systems.
  • Oxidation processes and their effect on the chemistry and mineralogy of magmas.
  • Volatiles in magmas, volcanic degassing.
